Need to ID a trans please!!!

A friend has this 4 speed trans for sale. I'd like to know what it is before buying it. Here are the numbers he gave me off the case...
3925660
3088336..........I believe this is just the patent number
3846429............this number was on the tailshaft housing

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!

Just for the heck of it, I put those numbers in Google.
This web site says its a M22. The maincase is from a 68-69 passenger car.
The extension housing is from a 65.
