This is Dad's Roadmaster. We've had it since August. We haven't had much time to fool with it yet, but I rebuilt the carb last week and after some tuning she purrs like a kitten.

And the sweet running straight 8.

Here's the body tag, in case someone knows what some of these numbers mean.

I cant read the Tag, if you can post it, I can tell you what you have. Basically it is Model, trim and paint choices.

Looks like you have some work ahead of you. Good project though.

The tag says,

1951 MOD
STYLE No 4737x
BODY No BC 695
TRIM No 60
PAINT No 13
TOP ACC

We were pretty curious was the original colors were. It looks like a maroon maybe?

Your paint is two toned... .

Upper body color is Sky Grey
Lower body color is Victoria Maroon.

Wheels would have been the maroon color with 3 silver stripes.

Interior would have been Red Leather bolster with Grey Leather Insert.

Model is a Roadmaster Riviera . It has the split back window. Top of the line and the sportier of the Roadmasters.

The X at the end means it has Hydraulic Windows. A precuresor to the electric windows.

You have picked up a nice car..... Let me know if you need any questions answered.

Thanks for the decode Bill. We were just wondering about the 3 piece rear window last week. So the normal ones had one piece?

The hydraulic windows still work (mostly), I think it's low on fluid. The funny thing about this car is that almost everything works! Someone started tearing it apart years ago and lost interest. All the trim pieces are in the trunk along with just about everything else you can't see on the car.
