:Do No: Anybody have experience with the radial slicks for stock eliminator cars? I am asking because I will need new tires soon and I have been running 29.5/10.5 Mickey Thompsons, I was wondering if I would gain any ET or MPH going to the radials. What are the good or bad points of them? Thanks, Tom W

I have used them for 3 yaers now.
They are worth a tenth and 1 mph, without a doubt. Start at 18# and try up to 22# to get your hook the way you need it.
Expensive tires, but in the realm of things, it's a cheap guaranteed gain.

Tom,
i just read an article somwhere about these. can't remember where for sure or i would relay to ya. anyways...........the only thing i really remember from the article is that they work really good on a heavier car. i thought about these tires also thinking they may work good for my set up too. they would ad an inch of height over my tires i have now too. i have heard that extra inch is "theoretically"(?) similier to adding a couple inches of width.not sure though :Do No:
keep us updated if you would please.

:Comp: Does anyone other than Goodyear have the radials? I had one set of Goodyears regular slicks and the did not last very long. The Mickey Thompsons work as good and are cheaper and last alot longer. Tom

Jim,
do you use the Hoosiers or the G.Y.'s ? and do they actually "like" the added weight of the heavier car like i read ? just doing a little thinking ahead of time.:Do No:
thanks in advance.

Hoosier actually makes the RADIAL in a 10.5 X30 also....
ALL the street eliminator cars are using radials now....
I don't believe they like to be shocked so I wouldn't use them with a trans brake though.
