HI, I have a 70 LeSabre. Whoever had it at sometime took the motor (guessing) that set behind the rear seat in the well. What years will interchange with this?

Thanks for the info on that. If I could ask one more favor. Does this look like it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4518306759. I asked and response was "Not sure what years in the 60's but think the later years; will fit probably all Buick's in the 70's. Have seen this on 1970 Electra and Lesabre and also have it on my 1973 Olds; also have seen it on 1978 Elect. 225.' Is that even possible?
Thanks, Anthony
71-76 gm full-sized convertibles did not have hydraulic tops. they were gear driven with a single motor (like a power window motor)attached to a gear reduction box that had cables much like a power seat cables has running to a worm gear driven box at each side of the car where the frame connects to the body.
the motor/pump in the ebay ad is definatly NOT for a full-sized 71-76 model ... it does kinda look like one from a 65-70 model ...but i aint sure.

Ask for the GM part number off the case above to verify. 71 and up are not the same. When I say Buick Boat I am excluding Skylaks and Specials which are not the same even during 65-70. I suggest you consider buying one from vendor out of Hemmings that will give you a warranty. I think one company is called Hyro-Electric.
