Factory Tach. Question

My in dash factory tach. that was working fine all of a sudden lost 500 RPM while I was looking at it. Now I know I have a set of killer peepers but I didn't think they would can the tach., now it reads low all the time. I would like it to be right and I don't want to put in an aftermarket one. Anyone have any ideas? Car is a 72 GS. Mike D.

There are companys that can rebuild it, but I don't have their information right now. Look in Heming Motor News.

Mine did this and a few months later it just quit working completely. :(
