Im looking to put some new rims and tires on my 85 Regal. I was wondering if anyone has 15-10" rims on there regal? If so whats the backspacing, and what tires are you using? I want to use M/T et streets that are 30-13.5-15's. Will I have to relieve the frame or run less backspacing? Just wondering if anyone has run this combo? Any suggestions on other combos?

Thanks, Tom

15" x 10" won't fit under the car without cutting. I have 15" x 8" 's on mine with 295/50/15's. I used 4 3/4 or 4-7/8 backspacing (don't remember which). I have a finger's thickness clearance between the frame & tire. The outer edge of the tire is even with lip of the fender trim.

One variable on this though - I have a '59 Ford 9" housing in it, so your backspacing may be a little different. The housing is supposed to be nearly identical in width to the stock Regal rear, but I didn't meaure it.

I have an 82 regal with 295/50/15's on 8"wheels, 3.5 backspacing. It has about an inch between tire and frame. Pretty close to fenderwell too but rarely rubs. Fronts are 225/50/15 on 7"wheels with no clearance issues.

I am with Wayne on the wheel size and backspacing especially on a street car. A 28/9 slick and 28/11.5 et streets fit nicely - you might sqeeze 12.5 streets under it but it will be very close. As far as 30 in. ?????

Some useful stuff for you:

Hope that helps!
