I have two sets. One has been dipped to bare metal and the other is still original. The dipped ones have some minor rust on the legs - the others I am not sure about. I would sell them but don't know how much. I am in Canada and could ship ups. Do you need the chrome also? ps They are from a 68 ...

Alan,
These skirts came from a 69 skylark custom and have the chrome trim to match the skylark body side mouldings.

.....interesting because in all my '69 documentation I've never seen it referenced as an option. Its also not pictured in any photo's in the Features manual.
Richard - 68 and 69 are very similar but there are subtle differences. All 68's had vent windows, only '69 special Deluxe and GS Californias had them in 2 door models. Front fenders received different trim for the two years and as you mentioned 68 had round rear markers vs. the 69 rectangular ones (the rear quarters are actually indented to recess the marker....68 Repro's were never available....). Rear trunk trim is also a major difference as well as the GS hoods between years. 69 Rear bumpers have a reverse light in the upper center while 68's dont. Those are the major body differences.....headlight bezels, grilles and chrome surrounds, vinyl top trim, wheel center cap(and hubcap) emblems differ....alot of small stuff too.....

make sure you get all 6 brackets or the skirts wont work right. on each side there are 2 on the lower wheelhouses and 1 on the upper lip.

Thanks I didnt even think of the connectors arent they part of the skirt I know my car does'nt have any connectors I figured I could just maybe fabricate something. The rear fender well has a one inch piece of metal that is holding a chrome piece. that is where the top of the skirt would fit. the chrome piece would come off since the skirt has its own chrome :Dou:
thank you

Richard all cars have the 1" lip, but if the car had skirts there is a bent piece of angle iron that the skirt connects to. the lower brackets arent too hard to find but the upper ones are harder. i have a set of the lowers but no uppers. i think my dad has a complete set of the brackets that he may want to sell.

OK ill PM you, just as soon as I receive the skirts from Dave. This site is very helpful I have alot more questions mainly about the 455 and the th-400 once again thanks for the information it seems that this type of information is getting harder and harder to find, just like good parts at a junk yard.
Thanks
Richard

Dave,
I need the pass. side mainly but I will take both. I want a show quality pass. side though as mine has a small dent. Is it sweet? Don't mind to pay for shipping, etc.
Thanks,
Jim
