Piston panel screws-72GS...

On my 72 GS, there are small stamped steel textured plates that screw into the top area of the piston panels. Does anyone know for sure what sytle of screws they are?? Simply phillips screws or the hex head type???

Just went out and looked at my 70.
They are phillips with the washer cast on it, silver in color.
