I have purchased a 1956 322 to replace my pooped put 264. Both engines are backed by the "smaller" manual trans. What changes will I need to make to use the 56 trans. (I know I am using an open drive trans. in a closed drive car.) Will the 322 bolt up to my 55 trans? Will the 322 be a direct bolt in? Are bell housings/flywheels the same? How easy is it to put a 56 rear end under this boat? Thanks for your help.
