Could you all do me a favor please.
Add my Dad to your prayer list.
He fell Friday and broke his Hip in 2 places - fractured Pelvis and another bone (I can't remember the name right now). He will have a Drug Induced stress test on Monday. The doctors say they won't be able to operate until at least Weds., if they can operate at all. They are worried his heart won't hold out, since it's a long operation. Dads been "sick" for some time, Dialysis for years, a couple mild heart attacks and a few other things.
He's a Bullheaded 65 year old Irishman (I say that with love) so I know he'll fight to get better, but I know he could use the extra prayers too.
Good thing is he says he has no pain.
Thanks in advance.
Beth :(

Will do Beth. Hope he heals and they don't have to do surgery but if he's a fighter he'll do okay. Keep your chin up. :TU:

Beth, Another prayer for your Dad. Seeing how that I have a Scottish/Irish background.....I know how "tough" and "stubborn" we can be. Hoping for his speedy recovery.................John

Just got off the phone with mom.
Prayers are working GREAT :TU: :TU: Thank you everyone.
The doctors say he does not require surgery, looks like it's an old fracture - maybe as far back as his Firefighting days.
They are still trying to figure out why he can't move the leg and are doing some more tests.
I'll update again when I know more.
Thanks again for all the prayers - you all are the best.
Beth :)

I'm glad he's doing better - I can now uncross my fingers to type this.
But then you've known that you've had Loyd's and my prayers and good thoughts all along.
They're still coming!
Hang in there, sweetie!

Thanks again ever so much.
The latest news is that dad will be going into a Nursing Home for a short time.
He can get his Dialysis and rehab there. He said, he is kind of looking forward to it, he wants to walk up the back porch stairs again. :TU: The place he is going is walking distance from my folks house, mom said she was glad about that.

Yikes! I am getting here late on this one but I sure am glad to hear everything is working out for the best, Beth :TU:
I'll be praying for a full and speedy recovery, always glad to hear when one of the tough guys from the "old school" pull through ( "Bullheaded 65 year old Irishman") these trials.Sounds allot like my Dad.
Glad things are settling down and I hope ya'll have a great week-end.
Bet if you go over there this week-end he has some good ole firefighting stories for you :Brow: :TU:

John
