George, there is supposed to be a rubber bushing in there. Don't even bother trying to find one. Get a piece of hard nylon and drill it for the clutch rod then turn down to correct diameter for a tight fit inside the z-bar. I did this on my 68 4 spd car and it works great.Or you could find a rod end that fits both the clutch rod size and z-bar size.

George,
There are some pics here that might help, and I think Mike G. (RaceBuicks) used to have bushings?

George
I used a polyurethane swaybar end link bushing and turned it down to fit...so far it seems to work great...took me 15 mins of trial fitting and it has lasted @ 3 years of my abuse! :3gears:

Same bushing as is used on Vettes . At least until recently they were still available from GM.

As I recall it is the early years (60s). They fit Olds too and perhaps a GTO but I am not sure about the latter.
I have some of these somewhere too.

These are some of the NEW GM ones that I sold to George. I heard that someone else makes the simular ones as an aftermarket source but I never found out who yet. I fixed about a dozen Zbars and the Clutch rod up with them already. Heres one I was just working on for someone else.

Mark I sell the bushings for $8.50 each and I seem to be selling them faster than I can find them here lately.
