Usual Schedule for this event at US 41, Morocco, IN is as follows:

Friday night - Track's Street Chaos - quite the show for fast cars and an exhange of money and/or titles

Saturday - Car Show, Test and Tune, and usually the running of TSM Turbo class

Sunday - some Test and Tune followed by racing!

Hotels:

Super 8 - I-65 and Route 2, Lowell, IN 219-696-8888

Holiday Inn Express - 205 S. 7th Street, Kentland, IN 219-474-5700 or 866-270-5110

Shari, this is the same weekend once again of the Pure Stock Drags at Mid Michigan Motorplex, and I will be going there with others from Michigan, to do that deal, so sorry we won't be attending, once again, someday maybe!

Maybe if a bunch of you email Bernie about this, we can get it changed next year to the weekend after?

We've tried to tell him but to no avail.....

does the car have to be buick powered or what???i know a guy with a nice buick but its got a sbc in it ///i think ill come out to meet some of you guys/ gals ive a buick but just got it and its not ready for the track see ya pete

Sorry - the car does have to be Buick powered. We're not really picky about the body style (See Dennis' Butang - lol) but it must be a Buick engine.

according to us41 web site they will be open for thier regular programs that weekend so test and tune should be open to any cars.
5pm til 10 pm sat
but i would call track to be sure.
i have a friend wanting to run his stang(ford power) so if i get an answer from track i will post.

I'll be there with 2 cars a wife and 2 kids.Never been before.How many people/cars usually show up?What is cost to show and or race?

Racing on Saturday/Sunday is $35 per car, which includes the car, driver and spectator.
Car show is $5.00 per car

As to how many cars, we can have as many as 80-100. It depends - on gas prices, I guess, and the weather, and god knows what else!

Ok so I'm not Shari...

Yes most of us will be there on Friday night, may not be at the track but we will be there(check hotel parking lot for a bunch of people drinking on a car trailer.)

Just come look for the Chicagoland Tent (Big one) you'll be able to put faces with names there.

thanks beth now what motel or is there only one or two////dont know when ill be down just found out the wife volllenteed to work at the shelter for the katrina people here in tinley my weekend maybe shot but im not complaining cause my house is still standing////luck to all if iget down ill come visit pete

The Lafayette, IN gang (and more) will be there, and we're bringing an RV to the track this time. John Estill will be coming up from Houston, Shawn Doggett from Illinois. Hopefully we won't be the only ones camping at the track!

I will be driving my white car (not trailering) and hope to break into the 12.0's. I replaced my slicks with ET Street Radials, so I may not be able to do it.
