Hi, new guy here. I hope this is the right place for this.

In a pile of parts that came with my '69 Camaro I found a mysterious alternator. It didn't match up with any first generation Camaro application and my research led me here. Maybe you guys can help me.

It is stamped as follows:

1100691 42A
6F13 12VNEG

I figure it is for a '66 GS, and that it is a 42 amp unit built on June 13, 1966.

Your thoughts?

Shows up in the Cdn. parts book as 1966 Buick A-body with V-8 engine. STD -US jobs.

Thanks for your help Steve.

Is this a rare part? Is it worth my time throwing it onto Ebay or somewhere?

I don't know much about the rarity of this unit. Shelve it, someone else may be more aware than I am. They can always be rebuilt. Clean -up the case & use the case only on a rebuilt unit. Easy way to freshen up & still retain stock appearance.

What shape is it in? How much do you want for it? I think I can find a car to put it in, haha. Dan

Dan,

Sorry, I don't get on here that often since I'm an F-body guy. Shoot me an email at william.thau@villanova.edu if you are still interested.

I can get digital pics for you, it is in pretty good shape. I can see you have no shortage of vehicles to put this in.
