I can't seem to find new motor mounts for my 1962 Buick Special. Any ideas?

Which motor do you have?

I checked www.rockauto.com and came across Anchor part # 2219 for both right and left ($9.85/each) with the 215 V8. Now this was under the Skylark body and not the Special. I don't quite understand why it wouldn't be listed under both.

It's a 215 v8....but it's the Oldsmobile version (not sure what the story was in 62 that some got olds and some got Buicks. I actually just found what I THINK I need at classicbuicks.com.

Thanks!

I'd never heard that before. Are you sure that it is the original engine, and wasn't replaced with an Olds at some time?

Are the mounts different for the Olds-based 215 than the Buick-based?

My mom has a 62 Skylark convert with the 215 also.

I can't be postive that the engine wasn't replaced....however, it IS a 62....so that makes me think it was orig. The block is the same. The piston timings and a few other small things related to compression are the only differences.

I'll find out if the motor mounts fit or not once they arrive! :)
