View Full Version : Biggest tire for a '65 A-body, front and rear?

Interested in what all you '64 and '65 Skylark and GS guys have to say about tire sizes. What I want to know specifically is, has anyone used 255R60-15 on both front and rear, and has there been any rubbing anywhere with this combo? Wheels will be 15x7 Buick ralleys, 4 inch backspacing (possibly 4 3/8). Appication will be '65 Sportwagon. I know the height is ok at 27.1, but concerned about width.

Steve the most i run on my little brothers 65 is 225/60-15 on the front and 275/60-15 on the back. I did put a set of 235/60-15 on the fron but they rubed the inside fender way to much for me.
