I know, I know, this is a Buick board but a good friend of mine is looking at a real nice black in and out 68 SS 396 4spd El Camino and I would like to have some help decoding the numbers for him. All I have is mostly Buick stuff so I thought someone here might have the information. The plate on thr dash reads; 138808K207236 the cowl tag; 056 0601
68-13880
KAN 1253
765-A-C-C
Any help appreciated , I would hate to see him lay out his harded earned green if it is being miss-represented, it looks good and almost untouched other than a repaint but we all know how easy it is to be screwed when we aren't that familiar with a particular car. Thanks for the help, Mike
P.S. He really likes my GS so I may convert him yet!

Thanks for the help Guys, Deal was made and we picked it up tonight. My buddie already turned me down when I asked him to borrow it to haul my 455 Buick motor home! Some people just have no sence of gratitude I guess. It really is a nice ride and he is proud as a peacock! Thanks again for the help, Buick people are the BEST.... Mike
