J Man, there are a number of owners of the '61 - '63 Special and Skylark cars who frequent the Buick Club of America website discussion forums. You might introduce yourself there on the General Forum, then post specific questions on the Collectible Buick Tech and Restoration Forum. These can be found at www.buickclub.org

Among those who post there is the president of the Compact Buick Club.

By the way, I saw on one of your other posts that you were hoping to create a car that would be something like an original factory concept for the '63 Skylark. Well, in fact, Buick did produce a '63 Skylark that was slightly customized for the auto show circuit.

Hi, I have a 215 (doing much rework on it) engine. I am however putting the resulting motor into a different Buick (german one). Have you guessed? It's a '69 Opel GT. I used to own one of the first 10 that were shipped over :Dou: :ball: , but could never bring myself to put a 215 in it. Now I have purchased a body that should be at the crushers. I am only using it to get the shape I desire. Then hope to build a mold or buck to build a fiberglass or aluminum body :beer .

your project seems interesting and like a lot of work. What are the specs on the engine you have. I am looking into stoking mine for a little extra power.
