My 84 is wasting away from rust. I've been looking for a nice solid front axle Suburban for about a year, found this about 15 minutes away! 1990 4X4 350 EFI SLE - lots of options - and rides nice with no squeaks! :Brow:

Very nice! Looks to be very rust free for Fla. How do you manage that? I wish this had the lights over the cab - those are so cool!

Bill, Nice rig! Good color combo. Has any bodywork or paint been done?

The side view mirrors, are they aftermarket or from a 91?

I have a 90 GMC 2500 4 x 4 SLE fully loaded 350 TB FI that I picked up 3 years ago from the original owner. Gargaged kept its whole life...until I got it. When I first got it there wasn't even any surface rust on the leaf springs or frame. But being outside near the Jersey shore is starting to take its toll a little on the under carriage. I need to POR-15 it this summer.

I love this body style Suburban and I am amazed at how well it tows. I bought one of the trottle body spacers for mine. They advertise more MPG and midrange power. I must say that I didn't really notice any real MGP gain but there is a seat of pants power gain from it. Well worth the $39 is cost me.

Good luck with your new beast.

Jake

Oops - better clean out the PM inbox! Its just starting in the corners where the frame, quarters and bumper come together underneath the truck. There is a bracket there which, I'm sure, catches all the stuff from the wheels and corrodes. Difficult to get to for cleaning and painting...... That's where my '84 started too.

I AM A TOTAL VIRGIN WITH THE POR 15

Oops cap lock sorry

I messed up my hands years ago with the purple cleaner I was doing a cam on my LeMans in shorts & a T shirt {no shoes} & I was black from head to toes so I had been using it all day I finger what the hell right worked great I cleaned up fast!!

WELL. . . bad move

about 3 months later my hands hurt so bad one morning so I looked at my right hand & said to my self,

"self, why does my hand hurt so bad"?
as I was making a fist

2 of my finger split & started bleeding all over the place & they have not been right since!

I always use gloves now I pretty much have to .

I get those green "vinyl" painters gloves from Home Depot or
Hell Mart has them.

I even use then for putting the lotion back into my hands .

I see the the spot has gotten worse I wish I would have fingered out the POR 15 sooner

dumb arse :spank:

Well I got it out Saturday now to do all the cleaning up & stuff
I spent most of Saturday running around collecting parts
damn!! almost $100 for brake shoes!!!

I think I'm gonna paint my brake lines with it too :TU:

I hope this stuff is as good as everyone says :Do No:

I will post some pixs & stuff soon

pressure washing is gonna be fun .where the leaking pinion seal has slung 90W all over the place...with the POSI additive YUK!

That sounds about right I seem to want to remember the paint flaking off on the wheel well's of pick ups in the bed on the inside of the 1/4 panels' .. you know the spot when you put dirt in the bed that gets impossible to shovel it out :Dou:

I had a 87 Burb but I dont know if it had the galv.
that truck was a POS I spent over $6000. & drove it less than 2000 miles :af:

I'm glad gas prices are coming back down ,now i need to do some hop ,skips & jumps maybe I'll drag the skylark over to the Turkey Rod Run!

Whoo Hoo! :bglasses:

Thanks for looking
