Romans 5:8 is this week's verse to remember--

But God demonstrates His own love for us,
in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Wow! God shows us how much He loves us by giving His life for
us. And that, while we were still sinners! Is this too great for
us?

Yes. We certainly don't deserve God's attention, much less
His forgiveness. And then He paid for our lives with His own!
I can't understand this. Still, I accept it and thank God for His
great gift of heart-cleaning and new life. What a gift.
What a God!

I don't think any of us could imagine asking their only son to die in place of anyone else...much less the lowest forms of life, such as the Hussein's and Bin Laden's of the world!

Yet, that's exactly what God did for each and everyone of us!!:TU: That should let everyone of us know just how much he cares for us! Jesus willingly paid the ULTIMATE price with His blood at Calvary.

Isaiah 53 [KJV]

4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Isaiah 53 [NIV]

4 Surely he took up our infirmities
and carried our sorrows,
yet we considered him stricken by God,
smitten by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

*The price has been PAID...all we have to do is accept the FREE gift of salvation!
