Brake help for a 55 Special

Hi there

I am wondering if you can help me, I am trying to source parts for my 1955 Buick Special 4dr Sedan brakes
the parts I am looking for are -

2 x front wheel cylinder

2x rear wheel cylinder

1 x set front brake shoes

1 x set rear brake shoes

1 x Hand brake cable (from pedal)

I live in the Scotland so I will probably have to have them shipped over...where is a good place to get them from? :)

Hi Sir Baz,

I know of two specialists in Germany. One of them is incredibly expensive... The other one is not cheap, either. But chances are that he has in stock what you need and you might save enough on freight and time that it pays to buy there. Just compare prices.

As they deal with American cars, they speak English. However, I recommend to post your request by fax (have not made that good experiences by email-inquiries...)

There should be similiar shops in Sweden, as Sweden is considered the European Country with the most American Cars - but I do not have any contacts there... Sorry !

I have been in contact with http://www.classicbuicks.com/ and I may be ok here but they don't have the Handbrake/foot cable in stock...

...yeah, I know, Sir! But they do not have an online-cataloque or such thing anyway. Thought, you might want to just give them a fax and ask for the stuff !?

Otherwise, different from all the other members of this forum, I received pretty fair service from these guys: www.oldbuickparts.com (From what I understood, you have to take back your expectations a bit when you go shopping in their USED/NOS-Department...)
