Found out yesterday that my sister-in-law's sister (my brother's sister's sister) was awoken by a phone call on Sunday night and informed her husband went off the road on the way home from their summer place upstate NY, and into a telephone pole and was killed.
This is tragic, as they have 6 kids, about 8 years old up to about 14 or 15 or so.
He was a NYC firefighter and a great father/provider. His kids are awesome, polite, loving kids.
I'm really saddened by this. His wife, Sue and their 6 kids really need your prayers.
Thanks

That's terrible, and very sad. My thoughts and prayers are with the family, especially the wife and kids. Experiences like this are proof that GSXs don't mean much in the over all scheme of things. Anything I can do to help, let me know.
God bless,

Here's an article in the NY Daily News. Apparently, my brother said he had quite a sendoff. Bag Pipes, etc.
His dad was also a NYC Fire Chief. I remember when Mike was trying to get into the NYFD, he failed the physical the first time. Even though his father was a chief, Mike didn't get a free pass. He worked his ass off to get in shape because he wanted it that badly. The second time around he made it in.
The whole town stopped and watched. Here's a brief synopses of his life.
