To do this swap you need to remove the dash cluster . then remove the idiot light from the cluster and mark the circut board on the back side of the gauge .

Then you want to make up tags to mark the gauge wires that need to be swaped around in the clip that ataches to the gauge.

clip the dummy light gauge onto its harness and mark the wire with the tags.

now remove the dummy gauges from the harness. and with a small awl or a paper clip remove themarked wires fron the clip.

respring the holding clip on end of wires so they click back in the holder / conector

mark the circut board on the back or your new gauge pack

install clip onto gauge pack .It will only go on one way.

now you match yuor wires to the markings on your circut board installing your wires one at a time .

dont forget to disconnect your batt and in stall the correct sending units will take some more pics of that soon :TU:

You will have an extra black wire (ground I think ) if you install a 1971 guage cluster in a 1972. So don't be alarmed.
