head light switch removal

How do i get the knob from the switch. I've pulled turned but nothing what am i doing wrong?

You pull the knob out (headlights on position), then reach under dash and there will be a small spring loaded button the LH side of the switch assembly (unless someone installed it upside down at one time)..push button in and pull knob assembly right out. Sometimes need to wiggle a bit.

Then you unscrew the chrome trim piece on the front and remove the switch (and wire connectors of course).

Here you go. Push the button at the tip of the red pen. The stalk and knob pull straight out of the switch.
