putting big block in 53 special

my son and i are going to put a olds 455 w/auto into his 53 special i have the complete doner car any tips and suggestions or parts i might need ie;engine mounts,steering,cooling,tranny mount ,shift linkage.thanks

I dont think that has ever been done, but let me recommend a Buick 455. :Brow: :3gears:

Run the engine, trans and rear. you will need to convert to open drive, you may be able to use the driveshaft if the length is close enough.
