Would it be possible to add some themes for this BB? I love the boards n all but sometimes I wish it looked coolER. Not to say it doesnt look already cool, but coolER would be great. Maybe some themes for it like black background orange text or whatever? This is VBulletin, right? I might be able to find some and instructions on how to upload em. Although I don't see any optiions in my CP to change the theme...

Yes, that one you posted Pete is very nice.. I like it..

We are planning some changes for the coming year, and I certainly will be discussing this with Mike Bucy, who is the tech behind the board here. This is a custom theme we have, albeit not as fancy as those I was looking at. Not sure if we actually have to buy the products from those guys, or if Mike can simply create them thru the V bulletin software that is already here.

Our focus thru the first few years here has been maintaining stable operation of the board, and handling the vast amounts of data transmission with the minimum of load times. Tech support and performance was the reason that we just changed service providers, and thus far, they are doing a great job.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, and I certainly will be discussing some visual upgrades to the board with Mike.

Hey Jim, glad to hear it.
Yah I always hate having to buy something I can make, but in my case at least, always end up paying anyway because I'm just too lazy.

I've got a web site (yeah im a game freak) www.MidnightMercenaries.com and I think we paid 60 bucks for that whole website theme... 56 for the last one.. but as far as forums go..... well I don't have VB because it's not free lol, and phpBB is integrated into my PHP Nuke site.

However anyway, if you're out and about looking through themes and it seems like there's not many available for sale, its probably TRUE. lol

When looking for themes for my site I just found the same ones over and over and over and over again, and the best part is, all the money went to the same company.. lol about 20 of us spent 3 weeks searching, and we could only come up with the same crap and a couple good ones. =P

There SHOULD be some free ones... that users can change in their settings that all you need to do is upload them... "Should" being a very key word here... Because I don't see any drop down lists for this feature in my CP like I do on phpBB... I always loved VB tho, far superior to many boards. I had admin capabilities on one once and... there was a whole heck of a lot more I could do with VB than I can do with phpBB.

I have some English guys in Midnight Mercenaries who are brilliant with making graphics.... Signatures, banners, etc.

Just for fun I'm going to have them make a new banner for our site here. Not that you'd have to use it or anything, but I like testing their capabilities, lol. The harder I push them the more better they do for my site =P
