Hmmm... how to introduce myself???

I'm 17, and big time muscle car fan. Err, I hate the sound of a 4 Banger.... :)

Aside from High School, I study electronics at a technical high school, where I receive college credit.

Oh yeah, as a job, I'm a computer programmer, and systems administrator for a national internet service provider.

Now, my car... It was a recent purchase which my dad helped my with... e.g. he loaned me the $3,000 for it. The car I drive, is a '69 Buick Skylark, with a 350-2. It's mostly stock, with only 85K miles on it.

That is one good looking 4-door, but dude, those Walmart caps have to go. Makes you look like a hick from Nebraska:laugh:

At least there are no stickers or wings!!:TU:

And they'll really set your wallet back too... I would like to go to 15" chrome wheels, but my 14's are too nice to worry about swapping at this point, not to mention the new tires expense too.

if those are stock wheels just get some dog dishes for them. they go great with four-doors for some reason. (who is it with the black 68 or 69 with the big block? love that car)

Hiya JTY !! Nice Ride ya got there.....

My first car when i was barely 18 was a '69 Sky also (Wayyyyy back in 1980).....mine had the lame chevvy straight 6 cyl. and a 2-speed power glide in it, was BUTT ugly....but it was Free and all Mine !!

Be warned.....these '69s get in your blood!!!

Its now 22+ years later (seems like yesterday ?) I've owned a slew of them over the years and currently have 4 :Dou:

Good Luck with yours and WELCOME to V8Buick.com

Hey JTY (need to add a name in the signature, so we know who we're talking to),

I tried to get into the sight, but Verizon wants me to log in.

I grew up in Marysville, WA... not too far from you. In fact my dad bought a 70 GS455 from the owners of a little restaurant in Arlington back in the late 80's.

We've had a few cars in the Frontier Days car show down on Main St (or whatever it's called).

If you need parts for your car, you may want to shoot an email to Jeff Cornish. He lives in Snohomish. You can find his website at http://www.skylarkgs.com/

I've currently got my 71 GS455 for auction on ebay at:

I updated the link for the picture, since I just switched ISPs.

Actually, I use to live in Marysville, and the picture of my car was taken there.

Ahh, Olympic... Yeah, I don't live far from there. I've seen some nice cars, during the occasional car show.
