Great looking car. Blue pearl?
Ground up pearl is mixed into the blue color to give it a different presentation of the color in changing light conditions. Kind of like metallic really sparkles in bright light. Only pearl is used instead of metallic.
Check the difference in the below photo of how the change in light conditions shows diffrently between the front and sides of the car and the sail panel area.

Actually they are both 1965 Buick Wildcat Convertibles. I've owned the red one for just over 5 years and picked up the blue convertible in December.
My parents had a midnight blue Wildcat when I was growing up. That began an obsession with these cars at the tender age of about 7 years old!

I was told it was painted Midnight Blue, which was a Buick color, but not for a 71 GS. Alot of manufacturer's had paint called Midnight Blue, so I'm not sure if it is the Buick color code on this car.

That looks pretty awesome. I like the rims you have on! I just drove mine hard today too. Took the kids out for a spin and did a nice burn out for them. I swapped in a monte carlo ss 4 speed auto in mine and it really made the car come alive. 67skylark27. Cool car man!
