Power antenna rebuilding

How difficult are these to rebuild?:Do No:
Mine has a broken extend/retract cable.
When I hit the switch, the motor just spins but I still have to pull/push the mast up/down manually.
I think this is the replacement part that I need.

Usually its not the aerial part that goes, its usually the worm gear inside that tends to go bad. Believe it or not, its very easy to update with a newer style one...just splice the wire in and use the old hardware and thats it. GM ones goes for like 50 to 60 bucks new....hope this helps :TU:
