View Full Version : Interesting line-up at the yard..
I thought I'd make a quick run out there today to grab the last few pieces I was in need of for th Riv. I go up to the 73 Electra that's been in there for a few weeks now, but then I decide to check further back, just in case and since I'm already out there. Well, the row at the back had 14 cars from the early 70's and late 60's in it. They must have cleaned out their stash of old stuff or something. Usually there's one or two older GM's out there at the same time. There was a 67/67 Riv with buckets and console, but one half of one seat was missing, and the console had a part missing for the container on it. The shifter was still there though. The steering wheel was shot on it too. Really cool interior, holy moly. There was also two skylarks, one 71 two door had been in a bad head on, the other 4 door was in better shape, but no luck with fenders or inner fenders. Otherwise if someone needs green interior parts it's pretty much complete. Other cars were a cutlass, gp, 71 lesabre, and some older stuff and a cadillac or two. Way cool to run into such a lineup. Btw, the Riv had those hi-jacker shocks on it, and I thought that would be cool to have, so I start taking them off, and then I see that the skylark parked next to it also has them :Brow: .So I took a set, we'll see how that works out. So give me a list of possibles you want, and I'll bring it with me next time I'm out there, should be next Saturday. Prices are pretty good at this place.

Kimson,
If the GP has a "flip-face" AM/FM radio and George N. is not interested in it, I would love to get it. The "flip-face" uses the two end buttons to switch from AM to FM and flips the dial correspondingly.
If it has one of these radios, let me know what the yard and you want for it.

They came in all sorts of Pontiacs (GTO/LeMans,GP/Bonneville,etc) from 1969 through the early to mid 70's.
I was told that you can switch out the knobs and buttons with my 1965 Buick AM radio, basically getting an AM/FM stereo in stock appearing unit.
Nothing against AM, but why not get both while looking stock?
If you have any leads, let me know?

Thanks I will keep an eye out for one the next time I am in the yard.
I'll try to sneak out there this coming weekend, if the radio is there I'll get it. I don't know what year the gp was, I'm not really familiar with too many cars, so it's :Do No: until I look at the inside of the door, or a guestimate.
