Well first of all, I'm glad everybody is okay for the most part. Second, you can never ask for help too much, in my opinion. I'm praying for you and your family. Keep up your spirits!

Greg

Really sorry to hear about your fire and really happy to hear that no one was badly hurt, after all your family is more important than all that stuff anyway. I know how you feel, I had a house I was living in burn, right to the foundation, all we had was the clothes we were wearing and the laundry we were in town doing. But no one was hurt and that's all that counted! And the insurance company, unless you have stated value they will probably want a list of your possesions. You'll be OK, in a year or so it'll just be a bad memory. GOD bless you and yours.

sorry to hear of your misfortune ...but as they say "could of been worse" and its good you have good people to help you out in the most times of need..

Prayers are with your family....

You and your family are in our prayers, Greg. Must have been a scary ordeal to go through. How did it happen, do you know? And who discovered it first?

I'm glad you did a good job of getting everyone out.

Take care, and keep us posted. Let us know if you need anything.

Prayers lifted up. Glad everyone is ok.

We had a fire back in 1986. Lost everything downstairs due to the fire and lost everything upstairs due to the smoke. Fortunately we had a detached garage so all the cars were ok. In the end everything was replaced and we were better than before - nonetheless I don't recommend this as a remodeling technique!

Please feel free to send me an email or PM if you want to talk about it or have any questions.

Greg, you and your family are definitely in my thoughts. I'm glad that there was no serious harm to your family. All your possessions can be replaced, family members cannot.

If there's anything I can do for you, please ask. :TU: I'll do what I can if needed.

Greg - I'm very glad to hear you all got out safely!! Your daughter will be up and running in no time.

In the end, everything else is just stuff. I pray God will pour out His blessings on you, your family, and all who are helping you get thru this!! :TU:

I lost a friend to a house fire this spring..... so it really could have been worse. Thankfully, in your case it wasn't!!

Your friend is right though....please look to God to get you thru this. The Lord never promised us no difficult times....only that He would help us get thru them.

well
the insurence adjuster came today
kitchen will get remodeled for sure
walls, floor, ceiling, and cabnets are a lose.
the living room is one wall being replaced,
the upstairs is unlivable because of the smoke damage and sout to everything
they will clean it all they said
my agents from the insurence came as well
2 of them
said they are going to have everything in this house back for me before christmas is here
they said it will look better than before
shock my hand and looked me in the eye and said
it will be done
the one agent brought bakery for all the people they had in and out of the house and stayed today to make sure things where done right and even answered questions that i had no idea of
he left at 5 tonight and again said they where here for me
i paid the premium now its there turn
the smell is just so bad in the house
the over pouring from my neighbors and friends are just unreal
they all say i am there for them so its there turn
makes a guy remember there is a higher hand over us
thankGod that my family is here and i can look at them from across the room yet
thank you all

Had it happen to me 20 years ago December 18th. Had to move out for a year to rebuild. You'll be back in before you know it and the place will be better than ever. Just thank God that your all O.K.. Soon it will all be just a bad memory....in spite of it all....have a Merry Christmas.

Glad to hear you are all "ok" at least. It's somewhat overwhelming when all that help comes from friends and neighbors, I too, know from experience when we had a bit of a disaster at our home.

I will be praying for your family, and your situation tonight.

Greg,I'm so sorry to hear what happened. That has always been my greatest fear. It's just good to know that everyone is OK.You can always rebuild a house but a family is a totally different story.Just know that everybody on this board is behind you and that if there is anything we can do to help,do not be afraid to ask.Take care and I hope everything will work out for you and your family.

Greg, so sorry to hear about your problem. My mom went through a similiar disaster about 13 years ago. They ended up taking most of the drywall out because of the smoke damage. Way more smoke damage than actual fire damage. It is pretty amazing what the restoration people can do and your insurance agents seem to have it all together for you. Years from now you will be telling the story of the Christmas after the fire.

Hey Greg. Just know that for every door that slams shut, another one opens. Truly sorry for your loss. Keep your chin up and your focus on God. It is ALL you will need.

Glad the family made it out ok.

Prayer said!

Thankfully no one was hurt! Like previously said, the family is what counts, the rest is replaceable. Sounds like you have a good insurance agent; someone who actual cares about his 'clients', not his 'accounts'.

Good Luck!

Went through this myself five years ago. All that we saved were six cardboard boxes and the GS. Believe it or not I drove the car out of the attached garage of the burning house to the police station to report the fire. The dispatcher toned out the firefighters and a cop at the station told he would follow me back to the house. (About ten blocks away) I jumped back in the GS and he got in a cruiser to follow me. A crown-vic is no match for A stage one.
The restoration crews were incredible and the insurance took great care of me. Today my house is better than it was before the fire but most surprisingly I am a better person for this experience. Losing so many material things has made me appreciate the true blessings of my life.
You and yours will be in my prayers through these tough times

I am so glad everybody is OK, for the most part. As said by your friend, trust in God and He will deliver.

God bless.

I know how your feeling. My house burnt on May 7 of this year. The important part is no one was seriously hurt. After the inishall shock is over then comes alot of work. And i hope you had replacement value on your insurance. We didnt and it cost me $36.000. I got very lucky and had some great people working for me. in just 7 weks we had the old house demolished and hualed away. The basement completly filled in and leveled off. Had a new above ground basement put in and i work for a modular home factory, they had my new home sitting in place on June 24. We were able to move in about a month later. I hope everything works out for you and your famaily as well as they did for us.

I'm very sorry about things, that has always been my biggest fear and I cant imagine what you are going through. Since I'm not real good with this kind of thing I just want to say that I'm glad there were no fatalities and hopefully things will come to order in a timely manner.
