Where do 63-64 fullsize owners get heat out of non-ac car?

I know, the title reads stupid, but it is something that perplexes me. On A/C cars, there is this "stack" sitting on the transmission hump that is where all the heat comes out. See it in this photo above the tach (not my car):

On the non-ac cars, the stack simply disappears:

My question is, what kind of duct work does a non-ac car have? Do you have something that evenly distributes heat to both sides, or does it just centrally dump out under the dash?

Just curious as I noticed the amazing vanishing stack on the non-ac cars. :confused:

My heat comes out from a vent that has a rectangle with fins and half go towards the drivers side and the other hallf goes to the passenger side it is tucked up under the dash in the center,

some cars have heater /ac outlets at each side and also in the middle of the dash. But some only have outlets at the sides. [non a/c] there are diverters down at the trans hump that tie into the defrosters and back to the a/c on a/c cars and they all tie together with plastic ducts or flex hoses behind the dash.
there is almost never a problem with the plastic ones but the flex hoses will dry rot and have to be replaced.

Know all about the A/C cars routing. Just wanted to see a picture of how the non-A/C does it under the dash.
