i just purchased a clean 61 special 2 door, up until a week ago i never knew what the car looked like and i love it. My questions are it has manual brakes and single master cyl. The manual i can deal with and from the looks of it i cant fit a booster in there anyways, however i would like to convert it to dual master cyl. what master could i bolt in that would work. I am going to do the scarebird disk brake setup in the front. Also interested in knowing what rearend they used in the car and is it anygood. It has the dual path transmission in it. Thanks, Ian Long Island NY

If I were you I would go to a street rod place and buy a brake booster and M/C kit I think they come in 5" and 7" diameter. you are going to have to get a proportioning valve as well . The rear is ok if you intend to put any power to it the only thing you could do is a custom set up, 10 bolt, 12 bolt or 9" Ford.

there was a 61 on ebay not long ago that used wilwood big brake kit #7675.
take your spindes to a machine shop along with the caliper bracket bolts that come with the kit and have the threads on your calipers enlarged to accept the bolts. wilwood will fill you in on what master cylinder to use i would assume.george
