I put mine where I was pretty sure it should go. I took it off a 66 Skylark eons ago and it was just to the left of the steering column about 1/2 way from the parking brake handle.
There is another one on ebay that is NOS for an Oldsmobile and has the mounting instructions.
Do a search on 4 way flasher and you should find it. There were several and going for upwards of $30-40 to who knows.
It looks good where I put it so I am happy with it. Works pretty good too!
