Junkyard trip

I took the day off work to pick up a 455. On the way back I stopped by this yard. Pictures are fun to look at and I thought I would share.

The first car/picture I am kinda amazed sometimes lifting the hood and how everything is nearly there the way it was 40 years ago. Glass bottle, funny vacuum booster sorta thingy? aluminum block and headed 215, bucket seats, etc. He wants $250.00 a piece for 2 aluminum 215's. Seems high, but I would like to buy them just to put back.

Among other goodies, I picked up 2 Foresight Ventures, Inc. DRAG MAG wheels for $10.00 a piece. Mr. Cosky and Mr. McIntyre, they were on a black Camaro, right next to the 340 switch-pitch car. We were too busy looking at the Buick to notice.

Watch out for the Guard Pig. He tried to eat me. :shock:

That is a HOG! Pigs by definition are less than 100 lbs. I am going to guess
that hog is at least 250. Wow, that hog pic has me thinking of a big bar-b-cue! Just add some suds :beer and we will be set!

Thanks for that info. I gather one reason why Oldsmobile went down selling cars like that even if it was rare.
I thought this performance car that GM Australia sold in 1996 was a shocker but holds nothing to that Olds.

Depends ... if it needs any kind of body work - not much at all. If however its a clean desert car with real nice metal and brightwork and a good amount of options - its prolly worth alot more for its parts than as a car.
