I've used 26 x 10 15" BFG Drag Radials as street tires for several years and now I'm thinking of going to more of a real street tire for our GSX. We are racing it less and driving it more on the highway to cruise nights, etc...
Which street tire do you think works and looks best. I have an 8" wheel to mount them on. Thanks for any advice. Paul

I know what you mean Paul. Those drag radials really pick up the rocks! Maybe Nitto's, but I have no personal experience with them. How many miles do you get out of a set of the BFG drag radials?
Traction TA are great in the dry and stick well for a total street tire, but their wet weather performance suffers. I have these on my daily driver (Mitsubishi Eclipse GT). The Tire Rack has some good information and feedback on their tires on their web site.

Nittos are a harder compound, so they are less sticky. And they still look great. Stay away from the Mickey Thompson's though or you'll be picking up more rocks than the BFG's.

Thanks for the input guys. I run the BFG Drag Radials and have run 10's with them in my turbo Regal. The hook great but do pick up rocks. We recently moved to a beach area and I noticed they throw sand up too. Maybe the Nittos are a good choice if they are harder since I'll use them for street tires and only racing at a couple Buick events each year.
I only drive each car 2,000 miles or so a year. I think I get good mileage with the BFG's but it's hard to say because I used to race a lot. I like to do a John Force style burnout at the track, but I've had the set on the GSX for 4 years and they still seem sticky.

I have cooper cobras with the blackwalls out on the ragtop. 275/60 on the rear and 235 or 245 on the front. They look and handle great :TU:

With a rare valuable car like a GSX I would run something that looks a little more stock. BF Goodrich radial TA's size 15 245/60 are close to original size and look with out going with repro type Goodyear polyglass that are crazy expensive. Use the same on all 4. Just my opinion but do what is right for you.

i would run either a 275/60/15 bfg radial t/a or even a 295/50/15 but i think they need a wider rim. if you can still find them you could run the bfg comp ta 275/60/15 that were h rated. a bit more stable on the highway especially if it sees over 110 mph  from time to time. i got a set about 3 years ago and they were discontinued then. good luck.
