The stage 1 awakes after a long winters sleep.
A little grumpy at first.

Hi, No I don't believe its glacier white. At the least not original to the car. The cowl plate denotes lime green. It also has a dark green interior.
Glad you like it.

Chris, badda bing :bglasses:  Used to live off exit 11 but moved west to the more rural(notice the rooster) Somerset/Hunterdon county area. Although spent a lot of time on NJ Highways, but thats another story.

Ron , Your first mistake is that you need to train them very early. :Brow:
My wife is not crazy about it either. I think she cringes when she goes for a ride with me.

Eric, I am not sure. I didn't do the motor. The former owner told me It was a Kenne Bell. My power brakes are minimal even with a vacuum can. I am going to pull it one day , because I am not sure it was degreed correctly. I hope the numbers are on the face so I can try to get a cam card for it.
That thing sounds great! Music to the ears!

If you mean that buzzzing noise, that's my annoying electric fuel pump.
I am not sure what a gear drive sounds like.
Glad you like the car.

Dennis I'm working on her. I got her to watch NASCAR. I think once she hears and drives my 69 Stage 1 Skylark she'll change her mind. We'll see.

Dennis....back in the '60s, a friend drag raced a mildly built up '64 'Cuda Formula S. He replaced the timing chain assembly with a gear drive.....made the coolest mechanical whine you ever wanted to hear. And when he opened the headers, it made that little 273 sound very fierce. Thanks for bringing back those memories!

Julian , Do you hit Sommerville Cruise on Friday nights in the summer. If you see or hear the groundpounder stop by and say hello.

Dennis....no, I haven't made that scene yet, but I will this summer. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the ground pounder. I've got a '69 'Lark convertable, antique gold with a tan top. See you there. :TU:
