Appears to be a 68 4 door skylark custom had top made in the Kansas City Plant in the fourth week of December 1967.

I will leave theoptions to others.

thanks jim...

but i thought that the B was for the baltimore plant and the KC was the colour combo seeing as how it was right near the "Body Paint" part of the tag... anyone have any info on the colour combo on this? and any other info the tag tells?

thanks again

wes

Wes,

Next time also put things like Body, Paint, ST and TR, as found on the tag, in your question.
An exact copy is always better :TU:

162 is behind TR, right ? That's for white vinyl.

KC for paint is Aqua Mist lower body and Arctic White upper body.

68-4 44 39 B

68 = model year

4 = Buick

44 = Skylark Custom (or Sport Wagon)

39 = 4 drs HT sedan

B = I also think that B is for Baltimore :confused:

It could be, but generally when a body number is described like shown it is done with a 2 letter combination which in this case would be " BE " I believe the two letter identifier for the Baltimore plant is "BA". But There again the Kansas plant is usually "BK" so it is "up in air" as we say.

Posting the Skylark's VIN will show us the assembly plant:

7th digit:

B = Baltimore
K = Kansas City

From the sequence I agree it is more likely Baltimore. The KC is down where the acc. codes generally appear.
