:Comp: my wife wants to sell her chevy and buy a new buick lacross :3gears: .. she took her car to car max and the tolded her that her car had been in a accednt which is a lie :Brow: . they said they would give her 900.00 for her 97 malibu :moonu: . the same year car around richmond is going for 5000,00 - 7000,00. i feel that the wanted to talk her for a ride becouse of being a women. :af: . if they would have been in the ball park of 4000,00-6000,00 it would have been better... in all carmax s**ks

Remember they are in the business to buy low sell HIGH!!!
You would probably do better at a small car lot, or take the dealer trade. The car companies have been offering huge incentives to buy new so used values have fallen.
