Oh man Dave! You've brought back some memories! I have a '71 Olds (Ambassador) that truly needs a frame off restoration to be "driveable" again. That thing took me through 8 years of band, including 4 years of marching band. It is really beat from many "miles" of abuse! I don't think there's a solder joint on that thing that hasn't been broken. The "three cylinders" still purrr though like the day I brought it home new. They don't make 'em like that anymore. Just like automobiles. If I'd have known then as a kid what I know now, I would have treated that thing (and many other things) much better! Sorry I don't have a pic available. It's probably best though. If I posted a pic of that old Olds  , it would make you cringe!
Can someone get me Frank's home phone number? I want to tell his better half that the season is almost over. Thanks:bla:
Never saw a three valve "Olds" before, is that legal. Noel, I have instructed my wife never to answer a phone call with a North Carolina area code! Told her it's from a bill collector. :Brow:
Hey Dave, As I have always done, I started out with an Olds trumpet, but once I got my braces I couldn't pucker right! Moved up from the small block to the Big Block Olds!!! I played an Olds Susaphone for marching band and a couple of years in the pep band.
And there you have it. Once an Olds man, always an Olds man. From the Olds trumpet to the sousaphone to a 69 Hurst. Sounds logical to me. I played e flat alto sax in grade school but switched to keyboard and guitar in Ann Arbor. Still have the guitar (Gibson C-1 Classic) and my Mom's Clavinova, but arthritis gets in the way when playing. What's a sousaphone?
It's the "White" tuba that you see in marching bands. I played a "Coronet" and then went to a tuba/sousaphone in 8th grade. Quit it all after 8th grade and got into cars ......
That's what the car looked like when you left, 08 is just around the corner "Never saw a three valve "Olds" before, is that legal." I had a 4 valve olds for 14 years, Loved that car.
Hey! that's pretty witty for someone from firestone park, you come with that all by yourself, or did Dave S help yao No:
