Tom,Finally got my magazine yesterday.Congrats on the photo shoot and cover shot,it was well deserved:TU: You guys worked your tails off on that car,and it turned out beautiful.Great Job!!
Excellent work Tom, can't wait to get the issue. Now, about that autograph you promised, has the price gone up?
Congratulations. Fortunately his dad owns this one so it hopefully won't be sold........... Here is Tom's next magazine cover....
Steve, I am afraid to ask where you got that, but even worse, I expected Casey or Donny to come up with something like that!!!:moonu: :spank:
I was too afraid to post what had been stolen from my house at last years' Shin-Dig ...... I guess the cat's outta the bag now. ou:
Thanks Joker's:moonu: All kidding aside, We would like to take a second to once again thank Dan & Bob for putting on a great event like the Pure Stock Drags where a lowly T-37 can get some recognition, along with the 100's of other beautiful cars in attendance, any of which is worthy of magazine coverage. I think alot of people/cars that have been featured have the event to thank for getting magazine ink. If it wasn't for the Pure Stock Drags, this car may have never been seen outside of a small local car show, and to go further, it may have never been bought and restored as a T-37, it was very rough and could have easily been just another T-37 parted-out to restore a GTO. Thanks Dan, and Thanks Bob.:TU: Well, guess it's time to go out in the garage and get back to work on the Chevelle..............................
So let me get this straight - you sold the T-37 for a not-so-special Nova?ou: I really wanted that T-37. Finances wouldn't have allowed it anyway (even though I am contemplating moving out of the city), but it seemed to be a cheaper way to have a super-neat car while RAIVs are out of control. But, hey . . . at least I can lay claim on getting your car in a magazine first. :bglasses:
NO , it's not sold. It's my Dad's car, he doesn't sell anything, and now that it has been in and ON the cover of a magazine, it probably became a permanent fixture. We did just start on the 69 COPO 427 Chevelle project for my brother, and I'll be in a 71 GS455 next year. Dad sold the 65 Corvette last night, so the search is on for the right L-79:shock:
St. Claire Shores? Isn't that a Mopar hood? They made a lot of L79 Novas. You see them in magazines all the time. It's not as unique as a T-37 with a 400, or a '71 GTO that's not had its green patina painted over with another color, or so on.:3gears:
