I'm in need of at least one, but preferably a pair of turnable, good front brake drums for my '64 Wildcat. Thanks in advance.
Hi, Can you tell us the maximum allowable inner diameter. I have a pair still on a 69 Electra i'm parting. I pulled the one and it looks good, measured 12.0" id. I think shipping them to you might be costly. I also have one on a 70 Riv, but haven't pulled it to see how it is. Hopefully someone closer has a pair. Thanks Bruce
According to the chassis manual the max ID should be 12.080". I've read that in 1965 Buick went to 90 fins, from 45.
I have some excellent 45 fin drums. One owner 70k mile elecrta. $180.00 plus shipping. I also have a mint condition single for $100.00 plus shipping. Peace WildBill
According to the Hollander Boook 61 thru 64 large Buicks are interchangeable.Part #133.Then 65-6 and 7 Electra,Wildcat and Riviera will interchange part #1202 and LeSabre is excluded. For 70 it's all except LeSabre and the part #1237 and this will interchange with 68 thru 70.It may be just a 45 vs 90 finn difference or it may be the bearing diameter.I know the early ones have a different diameter than the 65 and up.I'am sure everyone is more confused now than before. Tom
