just got off the phone with eelco and put my name on the list. was told within one -two months the new single four barrel intake in alum will be on the shelf. dident go over price but was told i would be called when one is done. They said feel free to call and put your name on the list. Paul 66gs
yeah it was supposed to be out a month or 2 ago something happened with there foundry that does there work. you will get flamed over the post im sure. alot of people dont like them. me ive not had a problem.
she was pretty tight with words, she said very similar to the 2x4 in design minus the fact it is a single. why dont people like the eelco intakes?? poor quality/ design? Paul 66gs
no i have not played on pro touring.com yet, it is a straight out p-t car. 18x7 20x9 wheels, c5 brakes( 4 wheel disc), lowered, narrowed 9" rear, locker 3:73, shaved moldings and trim. working on a 4inch cowl hood. really need another 66 skylark hood to finish, huge sway bars, qa1 coilovers, rear mount turbo, i just wanted to build a cool car that wasent like everyone elses. but i still have alot of work ahead. i am hopefully this weekend if it doesnt rain i will take it out for some pictures of the progress. paul 66gs
Marty's been kicked off alot of car message boards, for bad/slow deals. He seems like a pretty good guy to me. He just has poor organizational skills and will promise you something and then gets pissed when you ask him about it.
Let us know when you get one. I'd love to flow it on the flow bench and compare with all the other manifolds I've done. Mike

But since this thread has appeared; I will let the cat out of the bag and I appreciate those who kept their lips sealed for me. The single plane aluminum 4bbl manifold will release in June 08. Pics of the first run will be posted soon. This completes the line for EELCO. Please contact us directly for order information at 503-651-3352" As read in thid thread: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=153235&highlight=eelco Watch your self ,could be the "new bulldog"! :moonu:  They don't know how much it's going to cost?!?!? Forewarned, be thee, says I.....
I am not coming to the defense of EELCO, but I have to give the guy credit for trying to improve performance on the Nailhead. Edelbrock coulnd't give a hoot about us-unfortunately
Yes I have to give him credit for the further creation of parts for the Nailhead that the big guys keep overlooking.:TU:
thats not that bad of price and i got to give them the fact there dualquad made more power than anybody elses. also i bought a used oil pan from eeclo and had a excellent experience.
More power? It was like 2 hp. Hardly conclusive. At least it's available, unlike the Edelbrock. Marty originally posted it was a single plane intake.... Now I wonder if that was a mistake. o No: I figured he was using the 2x4 design and modifying it for a single. Glad to see him making some parts for us!:beers2:
Yep good old Edelbrock just blew me off when I asked him during the '02 Powertour. People making parts for us is awesome:TU: . Crossing fingers for their arrival is not:af: .
Paul, have you ever got your hands on the manifold you ordered????? and if you did how did it do?????
Yes. When I was there, and saw them making and designing the casting pattern, that is exactly what he said, and what it looked like. Perhaps all this discussion about intake runner length could be better understood with this (short runner) intake VS a modified original (longer runners) that Doc (and others) have been promoting?o No: Obviously sales would be weak if the same or similar results could be achieved by modifying an original.
