Put it back to Skylark or continue the GSX clone?

Hi,

How about the silver paint with GSX stripes and hood in Gulf Stream blue?
My other choice is Apollo White with GSX stripes in Gulf Stream blue.
One other ideal is put on the rear spoiler no matter what else you do,I think they look "rear good" (HA). Do what makes you happy and go to cruises and give the others a Buick to drool over!!

Here is the current short list in no particular order:

Silvermist, black interior and top, remove the spoilers (the wife's favorite)

Silvermist, keep the spoilers, black GSX stripe scheme, black interior and top. (like post #45)

Gulfstream blue, keep the spoilers, no GSX paint scheme, pearl white interior with black accents, and white top.

Gulfstream blue, keep the spoilers, black GSX stripe scheme, black interior and top.

Triple Black, remove the spoilers.

One of the most Beautiful combos Buick ever produced , and it's Original. You would be very happy with it. Id go that route and scrap the fake gsx look. my 3C :beers2:

Yes, a fabulous "Original" color combo; spoilers...not available on vert:beer

 

I'm letting you keep the Spoiler , since you already have holes :Smarty:. Plus you mentioned the wife liked it.

Thanks, The wife still prefers the clean lines of the Skylark convertible (without the spoilers) and does not care for the GS hood on the car as it makes it look to racey. Here are a couple pics from before the GSX parts...we still have the original hood and a trunk lid to go back if we decide to.

 

I don't know if it will help but heres some pics. I'm partial to the green. I like muscle cars with odd colors like green, brown, gold, etc... I just get tired of seeing red, blue, black, yellow, NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE WITH THESE CAR COLORS! MINE IS YELLOW ALSO. hope not to pi$$ anyone off with my colors comment here are some pics. And also go GSX. you can't loose, even the clones are worth big bread.

I've got to go with DL on this one. Best combo going. Next best is silver/platinum mist, spoiler optional (probably keep it), no GSX stripes, black top and interior. A friend in high school had a '69 SS396 convert like this. Beautiful car. Either are killer combinations.

2 years later, still have not painted the car:TU: working on 4 speed swap :3gears: the next couple of weekends and installing the power windows.

Paint is next.

 

The stick swap is done, and the power windows are 95% done. The hood, trunklid, spoiler and mirrors have been painted to match the existing blue of the car for the time being. It looks so good this color...one color again:TU:
