first off, i have a huge grudge against mustangs, i've never really liked them, i know they're fast, and the older ones are really nice. But the reason being is that every mustang i see where i live has a girl driving (no offense to any women) or either a dude who wont hit the gas pedal for his life. Coming back from the local "car meet" of honda's and every other import you could imagine. ( i bring the muscle. ) A earlier mustang, late 60's early 70's gets on my ass and follows me, we turn onto a 3 lane road and he pulls up next to me, i drop it into 2nd look over and see if hes going to do anything, he revs it up, nuetral we go... womp womp womp... the look on his face was like hmmm.... pop it into 2nd and he tries to take off, i stomp it, get a good car length on him and let off. do this about 4 more times and only got to bout 70 before i was pulling 2-3 car lengths. i slow down, my buddy asks him for his girls phone number and he turns another later mustang with about 5 people in it pulled up at another red light and tried me from a dig, pulled on him for about 1/8 mile and had to let off n turn. finally got to race a mustang, and i prevail. sorry for a lengthy post .
Hell, you don't know what mustang hate is until you've lived where i do. I lived in Dearborn, MI, the home of Ford motor company, for 10 years and you will never see more mustangs in your life than I saw every day. And every single one of them thinks he's the fastest car on the road. That's where my hate for mustangs come from. The most annoying pack of car owners on earth.
i agree completely with the most annoying pack of car owners. and your wife sounds like a person who would deserve to drive it cuz she would actually race it give her a buick !
My sister is a member of the mid Michigan Mustang club... pretty good group in my opionion. On the other hand I hate Mustangs, especially if you have to work on one. :spank:
I agree, most all mustang owners/drivers I have met have the same mentality as the ricer guys in thinking that they drive the greatest cars on the planet just because it's a mustang. Theres a guy at my school who drives a 64 mustang and he thinks it's really hot stuff, I think it has an almost stock small block and ugly a$$ oarnge paint. Plu's hes a total jerk too.:moonu: I'll show him next year when I have my license though! Anyway, good kill, keep puttin' those stang drivers in their place!:beers2:
My wife has an 06 Roush, she has a lead foot, always asking when we can put the supercharger on it ou:
I have three Mustangs.....Let me rephrase that......I've paid for three Mustangs. My 16 year old daughter has an '08 V-6, my 20 year old daughter has '05 V-6 and a '66 289 vert. They are fun to drive but I have to agree that most owners are different. I especially like the new-retro Shelby owners. They spent a ton of money to buy them off the showroom and are babying them like crazy. Do they not realize there are a go-zillion other guys doing the exact same thing thinking the car will fund their retirement someday. I have a friend who thinks the Carrol Shelby autograph on his glove box is hot stuff. My thoughts are if you can mail it to the guy and he'll sign it for a couple of bucks, there must be a ton of people doing it. Rick
Late model Mustangs- Flowmasters, torq-thrust IIs, short throw shifter, and a cold air intake. Bingo.
I have a buddy who helps me work on my car. He comes from a Ford family, and drives an 87 mustang GT. It's fast but im not a fan of mustangs either. Me and him keep the peace by agreeing we both drive AMERICAN!
thanks guy n gals that mustang looks just like the one i was talking bout' tstyles. just red. cant wait to do cam/intake/carb swap )))))
I can't stand Mustang owners myself.. and I'd never own one.. but not having anything to do with "annoying" or such.. I drive a Buick because.. it's something not everyone else does. I can't stand band-wagoners. Everyone owns a Mustang, Chevelle, Corvette, F-Body Whatever-the-Heck... and they ALL think their car is "so awesome" and such... To me, having something everyone else owns.. isn't so awesome. Owning one of those cars is about as awesome, to me, as owning a Toyota Camry. That's why I've got the only 2 Door 64 Wildcat in my state. (I didn't know it was the only one when I bought it, but I knew the #'s would be low).
In my area every later model Mustang is the same ou: Torque Thrust 20" wheels, Flow Masters!! They are everywhere. Thank God for my Buicks and my desire to NOT fit in :TU:
