Triumph was a great band that never got as big as they should have. Use to play them loud when I was cruising!
How 'bout an '80's group called Split Enz. They did a cool sounding song called "I Got You" ,which may be one of those one hit wonders. Some tunes I like to listen to once in a while are from the mid '60's. I even found and downloaded some of these and transfered to a CD; "She's About A Mover" -Sir Douglas Quintet "Liar,Liar" -The Castaways "Little Things that you do" -Bobby Goldsboro "You've Got Your Troubles" -The Fortunes "Music To Watch Girls By" -Andy Williams "Gimme Some Lovin" stereo version -Spencer Davis Group "So Happy Together" -The Turtles "Desiree" -The Left Banke "She" The Monkees "Hold On,I'm Comin" -Wilson Pickett "Stormy" -Classics IV Man there are dozens more....
Now there's a great version of that song.:beer :beer I used to crank it way up after a nights worth of beer drinking.
There is talk here on a local radio show that Triumph may re-unite , but that has been going on for a year +. I remember a station that use to play working man every day just after 5. I use to love to crank that one up after work!
Split Enz was a New Zealand group who had a number of big hits mainly here in NZ and in Australia. The Finn brothers from Split Enz still perform occasionally and to sell out crowds. I like your list as well, I am a big fan of the sixties music, it was a great era to grow up in with the cool music and of course the cars. A couple that spring to mind are: A Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harum The Weight by The Band Lots and lots more. :TU:

Sorry to be late to the party but I just discovered this thread. I thought I was the only one that rememberd Smokey Places. Just started High School that year and went to a couple of "Coffee Houses" (No, not Starbucks!! ou: )...... Meeting in smokey plaaa-ces Hiding in shadowy corrrr-ners Dancing where no one knows our faaaa-ces Sharing love stolen in the night, Da, Da, Da, la, la, la......:bglasses: Sorry, again. I digress. It's really great remembering the old ones. I guess I'm just a sentimental old man. :ball:
"Shiela Ann" by Bobby Skel on UNI Records. Here are a few lines from the song: "Eyes that speak yet never make a sound, golden hair that gently tumbles down, feelings that I can start to understand, when I touch the hand of Sheila Ann".
