Update on GSX Paint. Shot white on Sat, and clear on Tuesday, I still need to sand and buff the body, hood and wing and some small parts. I pulled the drive train out of the GS and detailed the engine to put in the X. I'll post more pic later

Saturday was a good day!!! Swapped rears between GS & X, Installed motor,trans,exhaust system. Swapping wildcat and 1050 for a B4B and 750 Demon. I'll get rad and excessor next week and drop body back on frame.
The Body and frame are finally bolted back together. I marked out on the floor were the frame sits on the lift, dropped a plumb line from the front and rear bolt holes to the floor, rolled the frame out of the way, rolled the body between the lift and plumb lined it to the same points. Picked it up on the lift and moved the rollers out, rolled the frame back under the body and put four big jackstands inside the frame rails and lowered the body onto them. Then moved the lift arms under the frame and lifted it up to meet the body. Perfect!!!! My dad helped by running the lift while I made sure everything was clearing and not hanging up. All the bolts went back in pretty easy. I still need to do some more buffing, but now I should make some rapid progress on get this machine back running and driving.
Looking Nice Don! Those Lifts Sure Are Handy. Was That Eagle Lift Expensive? Building A Garage Soon, And Trying To Decide What Make Lift To Go With.
Looking good. BTW, did you use the three body to frame alignment holes to verify the body is on the frame per factory; it is the only way to be sure.
I got this lift on sale about 6 years ago for around $1850 delivered, list was 2400. You'll need help assembling it. I had an overhead hoist to stand my uprights up and just squared every thing and drilled for cement anchors. good luck with your project.
There are three corelating alignment holes in the frame and body. GM used a special tool that aligned the body before the mounts where tightend. The holes are in the top of the frame and bottom side of the floor body, are "key slots" about 3/8" round with a pair of wings about 3/32" wide and oriented 180* degrees apart. These are located on the driver's side. To find, from under the car, starting at the torque box on the body(where the two firewall body mounts are) look up back through the frame and follow the frame back from the torque box till you see the first one; it's the only hole in the floor with that size and shape. As you follow back toward the rear wheel well looking in the holes in the frame, you will find the second one in the floor of the body. The third one is located near the rear most body bushing, again, the only hole that size with that shape. Without the tool, you can use any tapered tool like a spud or ice pick, even the right sized bolt. If you dont have that, eye ball is eye ball. MO
Latest developements, It runs and drives and burns rubber!!!!! Still need to stripe, buff a little more, charge A/C, get wipers working, and get hood tach to work.
