Harley has her moments, and is Tyler's favorite dog, but she has damage beyond repair. Suspension is shot. Born with a rare genetic disorder, and her front legs would not grow. A doctor volunteered to do surgery on her front legs and put some soft tissue in her bones to allow them to expand some. So she can walk now, and she can bark very well. Since we have been through so much with her, I guess we will keep her.
Hi, Recently aquired a 72 that I am rebuilding for my daughter and looking for a few things, first a good board for info as I am a chevelle guy. It appears I have found one! Second a rear bumper, what condition is it in as you call it a "core" accidents? Crome peeling, especially the bottom? nasty pitting? Hard to tell from the distance of the pic. Thank you, Skez
Hi Skez and welcome here. Lots of good information. I have several 72 bumpers. They aren't perfect, but the chrome is in good shape and not peeling. They will have minor dings, and maybe scrapes, but would be considered "driver" quality. Usable for a daily driver, would polish up good, but not show quality. Send me your email and I will send you more pictures so you can see details. carmantx@erfw.net
That 72 hood chrome ....is it correct for 72 gs hood ? if so How clean is it ....? all studs intact ? a pic would be nice
hey guys, i need a few odds and ends. door latches (drivers side, maybe passengers too) passenger side seat belt reel door latch rods (not sure exactly what this is called, but its the metal bar that actuates the latch when you pull on the handle, drivers side).
Frank, here is the hood chrome piece and the bezels. All of the studs in place on hood bar. Bezels are driver quality, could polish up and paint nicely. And, that lazy dog is sleeping again.....
We have door latches. Do you want them for the interior or exterior? I will have to check on the seat belt reel, but I think that we have one. We should be able to pull the rod out of one of our doors. How did everything that you picked up last time work out? Did you get it all back together?
Just about all back together. The driver's side lines up great, and the passenger side is almost dialed in. Hopefully i can get it all straight this next week. As far as the latch goes, i'm not sure if its interior or exterior... i need the part of it that fits inside the door and catches the door striker when the door is closed.
We have several of those we can pull that will work for you. I also found some of the rods yesterday. Tyler will look for a seat belt reel for you, I think we have some, just have to find them.
