Can anyone tell me where I can get these A/C box seals that are shown circled in red? They do not appear to be in the seal kit I bought that looks (so far) to have about everything else. Are these a critical material or can I cut some foam and make my own? If it makes a difference, it is for a 1970 Skylark Custom with a soon to be installed 455. Thank you...Gary
I would imagine a a little black butyl around the hole would suffice. I never noticed any type of an actual seal under those speed nuts in the past.
Bill, Thank you for the information. Do you know if this is the entire kit or just these 4 seals? At $22.00, I think it might be similar to the 2 kits I bought (one from NPD and the other from eBay). I did not see these 4 seals in either of those. Thanks again...Gary
Jason, Thank you for this suggestion. My thought was to take some of the insulating foam that comes on a strip to help keep the bugs outside on the old 'window shaker' air conditioners, cut some pieces into circles, poke a hole in them for the studs and put the pieces together. If you don't think a leak is a problem, there may be enough of the strip gasketing left over from the other seals to put in these locations. I appreciate the quick response...Gary
