Well we just got home from the dyno with the 370 inch motor. you can't wipe the smile off my sons face. He built this thing with a little guidance from me but he did all the core work he bored, honed, ported the heads and intake. He did all the over size valve cutting and assembly. I did the Burton rocker conversion on the heads but for the most part he did it all. This is the basics of the combo. The crank was cut for a set of Yates NASCAR take out rods the crank was stroke to reach a stroke of 370 inches. Pistons are a set of wiscoe pro tru 3.8 Buick forged pieces we used the rings that came with them. The rods are steel 6.300 1.850 big end with pressure oiled pins. Cam is a custom competition components pieces ground for us as a blower motor cam roll master 9 key way new front cover 73 iron heads ported by a 16 year old to 235 intake 195 exhaust Burton machine rocker conversion with prw roller rockers ta dual plane intake ported by my son also carbs with no boost we used a 750 vacuum secondary pro series p^%-F*&M and when we but it on boost we used a 650 quick fuel blow thru unit (thanks Doug) So here are the numbers N/A it made peak torque at 4800 @ 449 ftlbs HP was at 5300 and was 422. this thing was an animal with torque at 3500 it made 423 and never dropped below 400 until 5500 and was still 396 Then we added a P1SC procharger and with 6LBS yes I said 6LBS it made 588 FTLBS of torque and 630 HP all of that on 92 octane peak HP was at 6000 and peak torque was at 5200 but once again 4000 it had 549 ft-lbs and at 6000 it had 551. we started the pull with the charger at 4000 we figured not point in pulling it down lower than that we set cruise and idle AFR's just loading it down low. this thing will idle at 700 all day long it is crisp and clean it is going to make a hell of a driver for sure I LOVE BOOST I do have another pulley but I did not have a shorter belt and to be honest he doesn't need anymore power he 17 now for Christ sake. he will start out N/A then once he is comfortable he will get the belt and off he goes. I know allot of guy's have been waiting on this so I hope you all are as happy with the results as us.

I really like the NA Horsepower and Torque numbers! With the modest head flow numbers, low compression and TA intake I am surprised it made the torque from such low rpms however this must be due to the extra stroke and the custom cam. Any thoughts of adding a single plane intake? I ran the numbers in a calculator and the hp and tq numbers under boost look to be where they should be. Very nice for a low boost setup, should be reliable! Glad the Burton machine roller rockers kit made it into this project! Cool stuff!!
I don't have the cam spec in front of me right now but i will get them. The compression is 8.3 to 1 we were running 32 degrees of timing with zero detination but we will most like drop 2 out when we add the belt in the summer. you tube video of the 630 pull is on my bluestg2 account

I was just curious are you guys now, or planning on using an intercooler? I loved hearing the HP numbers and would love to do this also but my small block has 10.25 to 1 comp.(realisticly 9-?) and I know the only way I could would be either change pistons or run an intercooler. I was just curious what you had planned for the future I look forward to hearing some ET's awesome job guys your son did a great job you should be proud.:TU: Jeff
The motor was run with a air to air intercooler just cant see it in the vid if you notice all the plumbing goes out the front were it was mounted. 10.25 would be a push on pump gas I know guys doing it on race gas were class restrictions limit the blower size. I guess my guestion is are you sure you have 10.25 I can't tell you how many times guy's have told me what they have for compression then you check everything to find out the were way off. just somthing to double check to make sure if you have any ? at all. Anthony is going to start running it NA then we will do the 3lbs pulley set up that made 550 after that we will throw the 6lbs set-up on it and see how it goes. as any combo it will take some track time to get it dialed in i'm sure.
