Just picked this up this weekend after years of wanting one! triple gold, buckets, console, lots of power options! I have to thank RyansGSX for helping make this deal happen!
Nice! Cornering Lamps. Stainless Lower Trim. Vinyl Top. Very nice. Let's see some interior, engine and trunk pics! To replace the headlight canisters just get the 69 Camaro cans, then you need a welder that can weld the top of your adjustable rods to the threaded rods on top of the new cans. Be sure to have them finish at the same length they are at now when fully extended as the Camaro rods are shorter than the Riv's. Then you need to nip off the 90* bend on the vacuum nipple. Simple and a lot less than the $300 a pop I see them advertised for. The Camaro ones are $100 each and you'll have about $30 into welding on each one.
Thanks Yards, I'll get more pics up soon, I'm planning on doing the camaro can mod and I weld so no prob there but I'm going to try soaking mine in evapo-rust first, they hold vaccuum and might just be frozen...I've got nothing to lose...I freed up a frozen power door lock motor for my 73 Electra that way!
Great Buy!!!!! Looks way better than mine, and you have a posi!!!! How much did it set you back? dont mind me asking?
Hey Kurt, That car is beautiful. I'm happy for you. A road trip to Woodys shop would be cool so we can see this baby up close. I guess the other GS project will be put on hold for awhile. Ryans a good dude. Rob
Congratulations! :beers2: It looks beautiful. Buckets and console in a Riv GS goes together like peanut butter and jelly. Those are awesome road cars.
